It’s not our fault. It is the state of science and psychology.

Start your journey to bright

Most people feel sad from time to time,

but they are able to pull themselves out of it, But sometimes, in some of us, there exists a thing wherein we are not able to pull ourselves out if it.
Much like believing in ghosts, or feeling a riptide, grasping the depths of clinical depression requires firsthand experience to fully understand its impact.

This dark, heavy, overwhelming, terrible way you feel IS NOT FOREVER.

Who?

Depression thrives by perpetuating falsehoods, such as: I am utterly inept. I am universally disliked. Happiness is beyond my reach. This torment is eternal. The list goes on and on. By recognizing these lies for what they are, we empower ourselves to challenge Depression's dominance and rewrite the narrative of our lives.

Why?

When the part of our bodies that is responsible for how we perceive the world (and ourselves) is the same part of our body that is sick, it can be difficult to find objectivity or perspective.
We can’t force it to go away. If we could just “stop feeling sad” WE WOULD.

How?

Thoughts are part of how the brain is wired, and because we know that, we can medically treat it, instead of being a victim of it. Medication can be a silver bullet, or leave you feeling exhausted and explosively short-tempered. In the right hands, Medication can help some people find peace of mind and be more present.

Depression is good at getting what it wants.

We need to get more ammunition to fight back.

Getting help and treatment isn't about numbing our emotions or losing touch with our true selves. It's about making the necessary corrections and connecting the dots that need to be connected. It's a path towards rediscovering our authentic selves and finding the balance we've been missing.
IT WILL GET BETTER.

It always gets better. You are not alone in this fight, and you are OK.

Life can be like the stock market: Finally on the uptick after years of downward patterns. Be gentle with yourself. Depression is doing fine beating up on us already, and we don’t need to help it out. Are you I struggling every day with self esteem, self worth, and your value as a human being?

HELP ME FIND MY SUNRISE

Trying to fit depression into a single sentence would be like trying to fit an elephant into a backpack —absolutely foolish!

It's Isolating

The symptoms of the illness make it challenging to establish meaningful connections with others, even those we have been close to. Our ability to share intense emotions diminishes, and we tend to withdraw, particularly when we start feeling unwell.

It's Silencing

Indeed, depression has a silencing effect on us. The cognitive faculties essential for effective communication, such as articulating thoughts, recalling the appropriate words, and organizing our ideas, become impaired during meaningful conversations.

It's hard to go backwards

Once we've attained mastery over our actions, emotions, and thoughts, losing that control becomes a harsh self-punishment. Reverting to a previous state is challenging, especially when faced with the prospect of doing so publicly.
